Coffee description

Amalia Coffee is helping to transform Barrio La Sierra, in Comuna 8, Medellin, Colombia by engaging the community to commercialize specialty coffees, offering new opportunities for the people through Proyecto Renacer which is one of those stories that writes itself, full of honest effort, hard work, and cooperation.

This wonderful Coffee is cultivated at an altitude of between 1,700 and 2,000 meters (5,577 – 6,561 feet) and is a blend of Caturra, Castillo, Pajarito, Tabi & Bourbon varietals processed with the washed method.
Barrio La Sierra is an area heavily affected by drug trafficking and the guerrillas.

Amalia and her husband Yesid are fully committed to the project. They see a brighter future for their children and for their community. Through their hard work, and the hard work and dedication of their compatriots, La Sierra is no longer known as a place of violence but as of one of the finest coffee producing regions in the world.
