Coffee description

Varietals Castillo, Caturra, Pajarito, Tabi, and Bourbon blends perfectly in this Washed processed coffee grown at an altitude of 1,700 and 2,000 meters above sea level (5,577-6,561 feet) in a Colombia, specifically in Barrio La Sierra, Comuna 8, in Medellin, an area previously known for long periods of social conflict and violence.

This café takes its name from Amalia, she, along with her husband and family, are part of the Renacer Project, or Rebirth Project, a program that lifts families out of poverty through work programs, in this case, involving the community in the commercialization of Specialty Coffees.

Amalia and her husband Yesid are fully committed to the project. They see a brighter future for their children and for their community. Through their hard work, and the hard work and dedication of their compatriots, La Sierra is no longer known as a place of violence but as of one of the finest coffee producing regions in the world.
