Coffee description

Amalia is grown in Barrio La Sierra in Medellin, Colombia at an altitude of between 1,700 and 2,000 MASL (5,577 – 6,561 feet), it is a estate coffee (comes from a single farm) and was processed with a method called Washed where the coffees are pulped, fermented to remove the mesocarp, then dried and finally milled.

Amalia Coffee is a blend of Pajarito, Castillo, Tabi, Caturra, and Bourbon and is produced at Proyecto Renacer, an organization based in Barrio La Sierra, Comuna 8 one of the areas hardest hit by gdrug traffickers nd dguerrilla activities in Medellín, Colombia.

Amalia and her husband Yesid are fully committed to the project. They see a brighter future for their children and for their community. Through their hard work, and the hard work and dedication of their compatriots, La Sierra is no longer known as a place of violence but as of one of the finest coffee producing regions in the world.
