The combination of coffee, rum, lemon, and ginger is a magic mix! We also recommend this cocktail with regular dark rum and ginger ale.
2 ounces spiced rum (we did it with Venezuelan rum –not spiced- and it was also great)
2 ounces strong black coffee
4 ounces ginger beer or ginger ale
1/2 ounce fresh lemon juice
Combine rum, coffee, and lemon juice in a cocktail shaker. Fill shaker with ice, cover, and shake vigorously until outside of shaker begins to get cold, about 10 seconds. Strain into a chilled coupe glass and top with ginger beer.
